The Basics
What makes The Clear Scent different from ordinary soap?
Ordinary soap cleans the surface of the skin but isn't formulated to bind to the oil-based compounds behind persistent body odor — so no matter how thoroughly you wash, some of it stays. The Clear Scent uses persimmon tannins, chosen specifically for their ability to bind to and cleanse away that residue instead of just masking it with fragrance.
Who is The Clear Scent designed for?
Anyone who showers regularly, does everything "right," and still doesn't feel completely fresh — including people experiencing new or changing body odor with age or hormonal changes. It's gentle enough for daily use by both women and men.
How do I use it?
Use it exactly like your regular soap during your shower — lather and cleanse areas prone to persistent odor, or use it as a full-body bar. One bar fits naturally into the shower you already take, no extra steps or routine changes needed.
Is it gentle enough for everyday use?
Yes. It's formulated to be gentle enough for daily use. As with any new personal care product, we recommend a patch test first if you have particularly sensitive skin, and discontinuing use if you notice any irritation.
How long does one bar last?
Each 100g bar lasts 40+ showers with normal use.

The Science
What is persimmon tannin, and how does it work?
Persimmon tannins are plant-based compounds with a long history of use in Japan for their astringent, binding properties. In The Clear Scent, they're formulated to bind to the oil-based compounds on skin that ordinary soap rinses past, helping cleanse them away during a normal shower.
Is this clinically proven?
We want to be straightforward here: we don't make unverified efficacy claims like "97% elimination" that you may see elsewhere in this category. The binding properties of persimmon tannins are well documented in cosmetic chemistry, but formal clinical trials specific to body odor compounds are still an emerging area of research. We'd rather be honest about that than overstate it.
Is it safe for sensitive or mature skin?
The Clear Scent is formulated to be gentle, without harsh sulfates. That said, everyone's skin is different — if you have a known sensitivity or skin condition, we recommend a patch test before full use, and discontinuing if you notice irritation.
Will it irritate sensitive areas?
We recommend using The Clear Scent as a general body and underarm cleanser. If you experience any burning, itching, or discomfort in more sensitive areas, discontinue use in that area and stick to general body use.

Where do you ship?
We currently ship to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
How long does shipping take?
We process all orders within 1–2 business days. Estimated delivery after that: United States 5–8 business days, Canada 6–10 business days, United Kingdom 5–8 business days, Australia 7–12 business days. Full details on our Shipping Policy page.
Do you ship to other countries?
Not yet — we're currently focused on the US, Canada, UK, and Australia. If you're elsewhere and want to be notified when we expand, email us at hello@theclearscent.com.
Order Tracking
How do I track my order?
Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking email with a number and link so you can follow it to your door. See our Track My Order page for more.
I haven't received a tracking email yet.
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days before shipping, so it may simply still be on its way to the carrier. If it's been longer than that, email hello@theclearscent.com and we'll look into it.
My tracking says it hasn't moved in a few days.
This can happen, especially with international shipments passing through customs. If your tracking hasn't updated in more than 5 business days, reach out to us and we'll follow up with the carrier on your behalf.
